Tell OFA to STAND with President Obama for Comprehensive Immigration Reform this Year!
On March 21, 2010 during a March of over 200,000 people demanding for Comprehensive Immigration Reform in 2010, President Obama commended through a video message the marchers for standing up and making their voices heard and pledged to do everything in his power to push for Immigration Reform this year "I pledge to do everything in my power to forge a bipartisan consensus this year on this important issue."
Organizing for America (OFA), the successor organization to Obama for America, was built from the movement that elected President Obama by launching grassroots campaigns to support the President's agenda.
Currently Immigration is not a priority issue for Organizing for America even with the recent passage of Arizona's controversial anti-immigrant law SB1070. Immigration Reform can't wait and we are going to need Organizing for America and President Obama to push as hard as they did for Health Care Reform.
Sign this petition and tell Organizing for America to STAND and PUSH with President Obama to pass Immigration Reform this Year.
- Executive Director, Organizing for America
I am outraged by the recent passage of Arizona’s anti-immigrant law SB1070. This is clearly a call for Comprehensive Immigration Reform this year and I am happy to know that President Obama has pledge to do everything in his power to make that a reality at the March for America on March 21 of 2010.
I understand that Organizing for America’s mission is to support the President’s agenda, and if we are going to pass Immigration Reform this year we are going to need both Organizing for America and President Obama to push for Comprehensive Immigration Reform as hard as they did to pass Health Care Reform.
I urge you to make immigration a top priority and launch a national campaign to STAND with President Obama’s promise to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform this year.
