I am writing this due to the fact that my ex wife was able to get physical custody.I have alway been active in both my childrens lives. This included getting them up in the morning for breakfest making sure they are dressed and getting them off to school. I have built a new house withib walking distance of my ex wifes home, yet I get my daughters every other week end and a few hours on wednsday eves. IT IS NOT RIGHT NOR FAIIR!!I went from being a full time dad to a visitor. Shared parenting is fair and the right thing to do for the children

This bill makes perfect sense for many reasons. Please pass this so a child can experience the love of both parents.

I am a single Mom and firmly believe in shared parenting. It takes two to make a child and it takes two to raise one. Both parents must be involved in raising a child because they both offer unique aspects of life.

All I wanted from my divorce was the same time that I was allready spending with my 10 year old daughter before my wife left. I work long hours 11 hr days Mon- Wed with a shorter day on Thurs. Fridays I have off. I changed my work schedule to these days because my x-wife was working 11AM-7PM Thurs & Fri & 7-1PM on Sat. and so that I could be home when my daughter got off the Bus.
When I asked for these days and every other Sun. My lawyer at first told me that it was a very reasonable request. After spending all my & my parents money. He told me to give my wife what she wanted because I didn't have the money to fight for something I wouldn't get anyway. 24 thousand to my x-wifes 8 was spent.

The State of Taxachusetts is the worst state for being biases against Fathers in divorce/child support. I have had first hand experiance with this issue. All the judges are biased and do not care about the fathers

The presumption is rebuttable and it does not tie the hands of judges. The presumption does not force parents into any particular parenting plan, and parents may agree to make any parenting plan they choose.

For the sake of the children, the law should presume to protect the children's relationships with both parents.

You would think this is how it should be. It is sad that we have to go this far and show that there is bias in the system. What is the best interest in the children. Boy am I missing my 3 kids. That, "I don't know who the father is..." should be looked at more closely too.

a "father of the year" candidate who has MA DCF in his life because his ex just attacked him in front of the kids as she lied to make it so she doesn't get arrested.

Almost no fathers or their children have done anything wrong to justify forcible separation, which governments do to more than have of fathers and children. Forcible separation of fathers and their children for profit, exposing both to an increased risk of dangerous adversity, is CHILD TRAFFICKING and ABUSE. Share parening.

Children have the right to BOTH parents after a divorce. Stop the radical feminists, lawyers and the Divorce Industry from harming any more children. I urge all the Massachusetts legislators to publicly state their priority; children or money.
