I have taught Physical Education and Health for the past 30 years. I have seen the damage done to our youth with limiting or eliminating both Health and PHYSICAL EDUCATION.

Youth don't know how to play with others, they would rather use their electronics instead. Kids use to have PE everyday for 12 years. You were required to be in one of the many classes to graduate each year in high school.

Children's Diabetes is on the rise. Sexual activity and illegal drug usage is beginning as young as third grade.

Having FUN, critical thinking, socialization and body functions and awarenessneeds to be taught to this
generation!

A well rounded Health and Physical Education program can meet all these needs and more.

Elective classes are being cut to give more time for remedial math and reading. When do these kids get to move and produce endorphins to motivate them in learning. Rather than cutting, we should be requiring more Physical Education and Arts programs to develop the Whole Child.

Obesity is a national problem. Let's stop focusing on spending money on treatments and start setting healthy habits with our students at a young age. Students who learn about healthy prevention habits and have a positive experience in physical educated are more likely to make healthy choices through out their lifetime thus in the end saving healthcare millions of dollars in treatment spending.

It's important as reading , writing and arithmetic . And since the GOP loves wars so much they are going to have to have fit children to become fit adults .

Sad to see so many overweight unhealthy kids. For most kids PE is the only activity they get. Let's empower our children
