The fight for workers’ rights in Wisconsin will determine the future for working families in America. Some of the largest businesses and billionaires in Wisconsin and throughout the country are behind the scenes, bankrolling the efforts of politicians like Governor Scott Walker.
These large special interests - like the Koch Brothers - are determined to kill good jobs in Wisconsin and throughout the country. They want tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy, and they already got them from Governor Walker.
But that’s not enough. Now they want to make average working families - including Wisconsin public employees - pay for these tax breaks through layoffs and by lowering wages and benefits to the point where they can’t even support a family. Their first step? To gut the only organized power that working people have: labor unions.
That’s what the Koch Brothers are doing in Wisconsin and across the nation. They hope that this fight will make their extreme vision of America become reality by:
-Killing good jobs in America. Koch Industries has been laying off workers throughout the country and shipping our jobs overseas. The Koch Brothers just eliminated 158 jobs at one of their Green Bay plants – yet, last year they awarded themselves $11 billion in bonuses.
-Transforming good jobs with a future into low-paying jobs with no benefits and no future. In fact, the Koch brothers run their much of their Wisconsin facilities with temporary workers. In short, they want to outsource jobs INTO America.
We have a different vision for America and for hardworking families. We believe that everyone who works hard should have a good job.
Now that corporate profits are at an all-time high, businesses should be creating jobs and raising wages – not bankrolling their extreme agenda for America.
Sign our petition and let the Governor Walker know our vision for America – one that includes hardworking, middle class families – will win this fight in the end.
