EDF are only concerned with money not safeguarding the planet. They are trying to stifle protest by making it financially punidhing. If EDF hgt away with this the right to gfree speeech will be seriously eroded

How can 5 million pounds be a fair amount to sue anyway!? It's completely ludicrous and out of proportion to the deeds done. Large corporations are merely trying to bully the masses into mindless compliance... they hope the whole discussion will be swept under the carpet because people get scared.. thus allowing them to continue making millions with no thought to the future of generations to come. It's shameful that the world's goverments allow this to go on. We need greener, more ethical energy... and we need it NOW!

EDF energy should prioritise where it uses its resources. Decarbonising the energy system should be their focus not fighting people who seek to promote the necessary action on climate change.

The larger energy suppliers are unethical and literally 'costing the earth'. It is difficult to take effective action against them because they are so powerful. I fully support all activists opposing these greedy giants.

Because the "damage" they did is nothing compared to the environmental, social and personal damage being done every day by these crooks

We need to focus on safer, more sustainable forms of energy. Fracking just seems absolutely crazy.

The present British 'Dash for Gas' plans aim to utilise "Fracking" as it's main tool. I have seen a list of just a few of the toxic chemicals used in the "soup" that is forced into the ground to induce rock fractures. I want none of the ones I recognise and no about coming anywhere near my drinking water. We need more "green" energy solutions.

Energy companies make sickening proffits already.
This shows pig headedness and arrogance.

The privilege of peaceful protest in a democratic society should be tolerated by companies; EDF should not be using its financial strength to take away civil rights of UK citizens.
