Americans are facing nearly three-hour TSA security lines during spring break travel — and Transportation Security Administration officers are working without pay.

DHS funding expired after congressional negotiations broke down. According to the Department of Homeland Security, the impasse stems from Democrats refusing to pass a funding bill without policy changes tied to ICE and Customs and Border Protection.

The result? Airport chaos. Missed flights. Families stranded. TSA officers stretched thin.

National security and airport safety should never be used as political leverage.

If lawmakers want reforms, debate them separately. But don’t shut down DHS and cripple airport security during peak travel season.

We call on Senate and House Democrats to immediately pass DHS funding, end the shutdown, and restore full TSA staffing before more Americans pay the price.

Secure the homeland. Fund TSA. Stop the meltdown.
