Tell Congress: Comprehensive immigration reform must be LGBT inclusive

Undocumented LGBT people live at the intersection of two of the great civil rights battles of our generation – fixing our broken immigration system and achieving equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community – and facing both of these makes them some of the most vulnerable individuals in the United States.

There are close to 1 million LGBT adult immigrants in the country, one-third of whom are undocumented, and 32,300 LGBT binational couples. Unfortunately, current laws fall short on protecting them.

Congress needs to know that comprehensive and inclusive immigration reform is a critical issue for the LGBT community and its allies. You can help build critical support for comprehensive and inclusive immigration reform by sending a message to your members of Congress now.
