Tell Coles to STOP choking our Marine life with plastic!

Plastics in oceans kill more than 100 million sea animals every year.

Coles has already been slammed for over-packaging its fruit and vegetables in plastic, and while it may be convenient to make busy lives simpler, the war against excessive plastic use is one being taken on by hundreds of thousands of Australians who are sick of major supermarkets making the planet even sicker.

In addition to this, the Coles promotions such as the Little Shops Collectables and the most recent "Stikeez" toys are harmful and wasteful items, made only for profit and creating a legacy of waste. These plastic campaigns are highly hypocritical since Coles promised to reduce its waste by banning single use plastic bags in 2018.

Coles has ALREADY been under fire recently:

- And still, they haven't learned.

Thousands of people are already outraged at their new plastic collection, and while Coles insist their latest campaign promotes healthy eating and that the Stikeez toys are recyclable, they will end up in creeks, oceans, or landfill where they will sit for thousands of years after they are inevitably thrown out. Turtles and other marine life can easily mistake small plastics such as these as food, and this contributes millions of deaths to our precious marine life every year.

Coles needs to tell the us it will STOP using plastic for its promotional campaigns, and steer to something more environmentally sustainable in the future. Let's tell Coles this is unacceptable, and demand that future plastic promotions stop, or we will stop shopping there, and spread the word to everyone we know.

Our beautiful marine life is already vulnerable and suffering. If we all do our bit, we can ensure our oceans are protected for future generations.
