Primary Care for British Columbians
This petition had 76 supporters
British Columbians are in desperate need of primary care providers.
Nurse Practitioners have been established in British Columbia for more than 10 years, and as health care practitioners for more than 50 years in North America.
There are some 300,000 British Columbians without a primary care provider, a role that Nurse Practitioners can readily fulfil, however in British Columbia we have been slow on the uptake.
Funding for Nurse Practitioner education, residency, and positions have been stymied by the current provincial Liberal government.
Act now to ensure underemployed and unemployed Nurse Practitioners are funded so that they serve British Columbians.
Nurse Practitioners are here and ready to serve British Columbians.
Tell Christy Clark and Terry Lake that British Columbians want primary care for all in BC.
