The people of NJ are clearly for gay rights and gay marriage. After all, New Jersey has the laws that are the closest to marriage of almost any state—but we want that little gap closed. Civil unions just don’t cut it anymore. The Senate says they have enough votes on the "for" side to pass the bill, and it IS what the people want! While it may not coincide with your personal beliefs or religion, that does not mean that everyone doesn't deserve the benefits of marriage. The United States has the Separation of Church and State for a reason. Any religious beliefs about gay marriage being legalized should have no part of the laws, or any laws for that matter. What it comes down to is a civil rights issue. The people of New Jersey, both straight and gay, believe that gay marriage should be legalized. Let us be the seventh state to take a step in the right direction.
Legalize gay marriage in NJ!!!
