Join the fight against toxic air in High Wycombe

Analysis shows that safe air pollution limits are regularly being breached in High Wycombe. Toxic air is harmful to all of us, but particularly children - it can damage their lungs, damage their brains and leave them with lasting problems like asthma. Alarmingly, air pollutants in some parts of Wycombe are three to five times as high as the levels recommended as safe by the World Health Organisation.
Wycombe Labour is calling on Buckinghamshire council to commit to measures that will help protect our children - and all of us - from toxic air.
We want the council to:
1. Monitor all air pollution across High Wycombe, particularly in areas around schools and where there is short term exposure to high levels.
2. Take effective actions that brings all of our town within the safer WHO 2021 levels for air pollution by 2030, following interim targets to achieve this.
These are relatively simple measures that are so important for our future - but Buckinghamshire Council needs to act now, before things get any worse.
Please sign our petition to show Buckinghamshire Council that you, too, want clean air and a safe future for our children.
