Petition Closed

People who are deaf or hard of hearing often cannot understand the dialogue in films without the help of subtitles. Not including subtitles makes the theater going experience inaccessible for a subset of Americans. This is morally wrong as well as in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Letter to
Tell AMC, Regal Cinemas, and all major movie theater companies
I just signed the following petition addressed to: AMC, Regal Cinemas, and other major movie theater companies.

----------------
Incorporate subtitles into their theaters at all movie showings!

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing often cannot understand the dialogue in films without the help of subtitles. Not including subtitles makes the theater going experience inaccessible for the subset of Americans who are not hearing. This is morally wrong as well as in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Help create equal access to media by signing this petition. Hold AMC, Regal, and other movie theater and entertainment companies accountable for excluding people who rely on subtitles!
