Small local businesses within Oakengates are getting multiple complaints from customers due to the lack of parking. Due to the carpark being free, people are parking at Oakengates and catching the train to Telford Town center,  or Birmingham. Local businesses have noticed an increase in this behavior as workers are returning to work in offices where they have to pay for car parking. We notice that on a Saturday when only local businesses and visitors to those businesses are using the car parks then there is plenty of space. We have mentioned this to the Local Council to no avail. We need the support of all local businesses and thier customers to work together for a change that will benefit us all in what is a financially struggling local town.
