jenny boden started this petition to Libby harper (Telford and wrekin council)

Reject the application for permission to build houses on the green field land next to the nature reserve where the application shows a road right next to the hedges rare animals live and use.

despite 1000s   of Objections to these plans the council s are trying to allow these things to go ahead

shouldn't an area of land joining a protected nature reserve with rare wildlife using it be protected by the local council ?

The area right next to the planned development has recently become protected greenland and the 15th nature reserve in the county with unique habitat and its diverse and thriving population of bats, great crested newts and rare aquatic plants called mares tail which only grows in this area of the borough.

Despite ecological reports stating that wildlife thrive in the hedges and on land they want to build on the company were planning to build a road right next to the hedges and have now moved it even closer .  They are not considering any wildlife in these plans where it was thought they would be making the gardens wildlife friendly so the rare animals that currently thrive here such as newts and hedgehogs and the threatened birds could still use.  Many of the existing residents regularly see newts toads and hedgehogs in there gardens.

experts stating that this building is a red offense on the newts where with 50m of there home 2.6ha of land is due to be lost.

"Records also  included house sparrow and song thrush, which are species that are currently on the red list due to rapid recent population declines"

The current proposals will result in the loss of the habitats on site, including the scattered trees and hedgerow suitable for breeding birds. No new planting is anticipated with the scheme....

The land has been used for horses for the past 20 years and enjoyed by the whole community where people travel to come herr . houses will have detrimental effects on the community,   the wildlife and character of the area which telford have signs right next to this land staying it is a countryside area. it would be a real loss for the community if this greenfield land were to become 39 houses!

Not too far away Telford council also currently have large amounts of development plans going ahead and planning awaiting to be approved.

As well as that they have the county's largest proposed development sites, made up of plans for hundreds of homes and space for businesses.

The council are planning on bringing in thousands of people while our hospital is struggling and only just about open of a night time with minimal staff.

What will happen when it's expected to cope with thousands of extra people? Should they not be improved to cater for the existing people before planning on getting thousands of more people to use them?

Where are the 1000s of people that need these house all going to come from?

They do not need to create a harmful visual impact on our small bit of green field land where on the very road houses/flats are easily available to buy and let.
