We request the state government to waive off the challans collected by the police for violating the lockdown rules and refund the challan amount to the people.

The government is well aware of the plight of the common man during this lockdown period as they were not prepared for it because they were under the impression that no lockdown would be imposed in our state.

Even when relaxation hours are allowed, how can the police harass common man who's returning from their work. Thousands are such people who worked till 10am in the morning and were returning to their home, still police didn't consider their plight and imposed heavy challans. It is immoral and illegal to do so. If we notice the data of those challans, majority of the cases are of similar situation, where people needed some time to return to their homes. I was caught in a similar case, I was returning to home, was stopped at check post at around 10:30 am, was stopped and taken to Police station, insulted and humiliated till 11:30 am, charged with a challan of 1000 Rs and then let go. 

Already the people are suffering from the loss of income and livelihood, the imposition of fines and ceasing of Vehicles further aggravates their woes.

I request government to consider such cases and waive off such challans.
