I am a prosepective international student of Teesside University who is awaiting CAS from the school to process my visa application to the UK.I met all my requirements,paid full year tution fees and submitted all necessary documents in time before deadlines.The university claims to issue CAS in 5 working days but its been over a month,they are unresponsive to emails and phone calls.Only yesterday they decided to respond via social media platforms due to their incompetence as students are tired of waiting especially african ones as most Asian based students are being offered CAS within a few days.This morning a large number of international students have receieved emails stating that "if you havent received your CAS,there is no gurantee you will be issued one regardless of meeting all conditions ".After making calls to their hotline number,the advisor has confirmed that the UK government has instructed them to issue 1,500 CAS out of 4,000 applicants.Some students with no CAS are defferals from previous January 2021 intake and September 2021 intakes.The University is said to offer refunds which will take 3 months and defferals for next intake .This is very unfair as most students turned down other universities and its too late to apply and be admitted to other institutions.This is a plea to the UK  government to intervene and all affected students to be heard.Its brought false hopes and impact on mental health.
