Implementing restorative justice in sexual assault cases means holding offenders accountable in meaningful and relevant ways. Community conferences replace trials to allow open dialogue between victims, offenders, and families and friends from both parties. This plan is intended to limit victimization by giving the victim a real voice and rehabilitate the offender by forcing them to truly come face-to-face with the results of their actions.
