Work with GE Capital to retire Homer City
The Homer City Generating Station is located outside Pittsburgh, PA, and is one of the dirtiest coal plants in the country. The sulfur dioxide emitted by the plant causes respiratory health problems and acid rain. Homer City is also one of the country’s top emitters of global warming pollution.
According to the Clean Air Task force, pollution from Homer City causes 43 premature deaths every year. That’s more than one person a week who dies because of pollution from this plant.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: Ted Craver, Edison International CEO.
As new public health standards go into effect, it does not make sense to operate polluting giants like the Homer City coal plant. You've brought renewable energy and energy efficiency to California. Now it's time to retire Homer City and invest in clean energy for Pennsylvania.
