The Homer City Generating Station is located outside Pittsburgh, PA, and is one of the dirtiest coal plants in the country. The sulfur dioxide emitted by the plant causes respiratory health problems and acid rain. Homer City is also one of the country’s top emitters of global warming pollution.

According to the Clean Air Task force, pollution from Homer City causes 43 premature deaths every year. That’s more than one person a week who dies because of pollution from this plant.
