Please fix the internet issue!

Us high school students and many other students across our district have days at school where we can’t even get our work done. We don’t know if this petition will make a difference but many of us are sick of coming to school to sit in the classroom and do nothing. As most of our class work and home work is on the school provided chromebook we need a strong internet connection.

Not to mention the other problem which many students not only in TVSD but across the country fear. Having to text their parents their in lock down. Over the past week another school shooting occurred in Michigan which brought the serious thought to all of our minds. We don’t want to be crowded in a corner or under a desk trying to force a text that states “I love you” to our mother. We have very limited contact with the world once we are inside the walls of our school which needs to be fixed.

Of course, the counter argument will be if we give better connection to our students they’ll be on their phones in class. However that’s when more strict rules in teachers classrooms become more present and what is more important catch a kid on instagram during a reading or having your students not be able to do their class work and/or contact 911 when there is a serious emergency.
