USA Triathlon contracted with Zone3 to produce race kits for Team USA qualifying athletes for 2022 events and future years. Team USA athletes have experienced exceptional challenges with race kits. Poorly constructed seams cut into athletes while racing introducing serious risk of infection, pain and discomfort during and after racing, and the potential for scaring. Other athletes are experiencing extreme discomfort due to poor sizing or drag created by the use of non-hydrophobic material. 

Team USA athletes signing this petition are confirming an injury from their uniform or attesting to extreme discomfort due to poor fit or lack of hydrophobic material. 

Team USA athletes are demanding immediate correction of these issues, whether through temporary repair of seams or replacement. This issue needs to be addressed before athletes compete in international events. In addition, Team USA athletes also demand a test period for a committee of athletes to evaluate future uniforms. We are proud members of Team USA and USAT and value the recognition of the seriousness of this issue.
