Teachers have been looked at as a horrible job because of their students or yearly salary. Sure some people may love the job but 25% of teachers even consider quitting because of their small amount of pay! Imagine this, a teacher works 4 hours teaching and after school another 4. On breaks or weekends they work 2 hours per day. This alone is 1816 hours!!! THATS CRAZY! You may not notice your teacher struggling either when you ask, ”oh did you grade our assignment.” They always say oh I’m grading that other assignment for 2 weeks ago. They always have work on their back. A San Francisco school even tested this by raising their salary. More teachers and quality started rushing in. Maybe an income raise is all schools need to have the very best teachers for their students. Maybe next time you pass your teacher greet them and say how wonderful they are. They deserve so much more. It’s your future, change it.
