I'm an LGBTQ youth and it hurts to not see myself in history. If we teach LGBT history then more kids will learn who they truly are. It will also help kids who are in the closet and open feel loved and safe. This will help kids feel like they don't have to hide and it will help them when they are older by feeling supported.
