Lots of school in America teach about U.S history which is great and all, but have you ever noticed that schools rarely talk about Latin American  history or any other history besides really U.S history? I want to change that, I want school to talk more about history from other lands. Schools are teaching kids about African American History which is amazing in taking that step, but let's take that further. As our country grows so does our people and I want to acknowledge more people of color, such as myself and I have seen how your society doesn't talk about things unless it indirectly or directly affect us. We don't talk about the things that go on in South American, Asia, Africa, etc. and we should. As a student I feel that I am missing out on some part of my education, I would love to learn about my own background or the background of others but it's not really made an option in schools so let's try and make it an option. Our school district has the power to determine what we learn and what we don't learn so we have to change their minds.
