We the undersigned believe the dress codes in Tomahawk Creek Middle School (TCMS) are sexist and unnecessary. As society and our schools are becoming more and more progressive, our dress code is becoming more and more conservative and or restricting. Items of clothing such as hats, hoods, short shorts, spaghetti straps, and crop tops are a part of modern culture and expression, and removing these accessories from our fashion lexicon is depriving us of our ability to express ourselves. To ameliorate this situation, we propose the removal or mitigation of certain policies under the dress code. Policies such as crop tops, hats, hoods, spaghetti straps. This is just a start. When and or if the TCMS administration wants to hear my proposals/policy changes, I will go in-depth on why most of the policies are flawed and why I propose change.
