Not An Object : Ban Hypersexualization

Hyper-sexualization in advertising and in the media has become seriously problematic for the future of our children; specifically female adolescents. Hyper-sexualization gives women a negative and degrading name as if they're exploited objects used to sell products. Such advertising can lead to body image distortion to younger, teenage viewers including eating disorders anorexia and bulimia. These hyper-sexualized commercials give young female adolescents a false reality of expectations; what they should look like, how society perceives women and sometimes the glamorization of a high socioeconomic life style. We must stand together to put a ban on hyper-sexualization in advertising.
