The US Federal debt stands at roughly $30 trillion, and is growing around $2-4 trillion per year.

Rather than take the painful solution of increasing taxes and cutting spending, as a nation we can use our resources (specifically, the investing prowess of Nancy Pelosi) to reduce and eliminate this debt.

Congresswoman Pelosi has demonstrated tremendous investing talent over an extended period of time, amassing a large personal fortune for herself.  Given she has done this in her spare time, imagine what she could do if she devoted all of her workweek to investing. 

I propose the government create a sovereign wealth fund that is managed exclusively by Congresswoman Pelosi.  A simple act of Congress (Congresswoman Pelosi's current employer) could create this fund.  The Treasury would issue $5 trillion of 0% interest bonds which the Fed could purchase, resulting in no further expense to the government. 

$5 trillion earning a modest 30% annual rate of return (child's play for a savvy investor like Congresswoman Pelosi) will enable the entire US federal debt to be paid off within 10 years (assuming annual deficits average $2.5 trillion per year).

Singlehandedly paying off the national debt is a legacy worthy of such talent, and we urge Congress to act as soon as possible.
