ACTION ONE: 03/10/11
The Full Employment & Training Act, H.R. 870, is an idea that will work for all of us.
Tax Wall Street to finance good green jobs for millions of unemployed Americans.
Sign here and we will deliver your message to the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which has the potential to be a major force to Tax Wall Street -- for Jobs.
PETITION TEXT with COMMENT BOX:
I am writing to ask you to support H.R. 870, the “Humphrey-Hawkins 21st Century Full Employment & Training Act.” Americans need jobs, and a modest transaction tax on Wall Street is a reasonable way to accomplish this -- without adding to the deficit.
Please become a co-sponsor and advocate for this approach to solving unemployment and promoting economic fairness.

- Fix the budget with a Wall Street tax - RootsAction
PETITION TEXT with COMMENT BOX:
Dear President Obama, Congress and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner,
We call on you to institute a Wall Street transaction tax to generate much-needed revenue and rein in the speculators who have damaged our economy. This tax is an idea that has come of age. Join the global movement to institute a modest financial transaction tax to pay for jobs, healthcare, infrastructure and schools.
Sincerely,
