These past few weeks have been a trying time for this nation, but this week our community of Tattnall County has endured the most heinous  and disgusting accusations. Ranging from sexual misconduct to racial discrimination. The students from Tattnall County High School, past and present, have been speaking out about their experiences and we need a change. Recently the school has come under fire about the suspension of Coach Jordan Huerta, and I believe that this is highly unjust for a school to suspend a teacher for speaking out on racial injustices and simply educating others on history.

The Tattnall County Board of Education has failed to keep their word when it comes to treating everyone in the school system equal no matter race or privilege. Many parents of color have expressed their feelings towards the situation concerning how their children are treated at the Tattnall County school systems. Throughout these events, the Tattnall County Board of Education has shown a minimal amount of concern relating to these topics. Furthermore, Gina Williams, the superintendent,  has failed to acknowledge to these issues going on with the schools. This petition was made to bring awareness to the negligence that the Board of Education has demonstrated towards these problems. This petition will be sent to the Tattnall County Board of Education and Gina Williams in hopes they make a change in the school system.
