The future of the Pulse Studio & Youth Productions Studio and Music Room facilities is very unclear! We the Pulse Studio and Youth Productions Team have received no information from the Tasmanian Health Organisation, Department of Health and Human Services or the Tasmanian Government in regards to the future of the studio and music room facilities provided at Pulse for young people in the Glenorchy and extended community. In December 2017, Pulse Youth Health Centre will move into the newly built Glenorchy Heath Centre, but Pulse's studio and music room facilities will not move as there has never been any plan for this happening. The studio has had a big impact on the lives of thousands of young people in the community over the last almost 15 years and continues to change the lives of so many people who need these types of facilities.

I'm a young person myself and wouldn't be the person I am today without Pulse and the facilities it offers like the studio and music room! It's a place like no other, where you can escape too! It provides a safe environment away from the streets, where young people are able to feel accepted for who they are. If it's just for a jam in the music room or something a little bit more serious like chucking a beat together in the studio and some lyrics with Creative Arts Worker Matthew Fargher, it really does help and has such a huge impact on an individual mental health and life!  It shows yourself the real you and puts you outside your comfort zone.

The Pulse Studio and Youth Production Team also have so much more involvement within the community; it creates from scratch free community events which showcase local young people's work being made in the studio! Triple J 2012 Unearthed winner Asta Binnie, just a young person wanting to walk the life of fame like many other young Australians, recorded her first music piece in Pulse's studio and then followed her dream to become an Australian singer/songwriter and succeeded.

Pulse's Studio and Music room facilities is an essential service and valuable asset to the Glenorchy and extended community and there is evidence to prove it, providing young people the free facilities to get thoughts off their mind and to make something crazy, creative and fantastic.

Personally as a young person myself, I ask for all the support we can get to achieve an amazing turn around! I want to see Pulse Studio continue into the future with the required funding and facilities to accommodate many more young people of future generations to come. I want to see it still happening in 15 years' time, long after my days of being young are over.

Young people are more than just a generation, there the future of this country! Australia is a place we all call home and I speak on behalf of every single young Australian from all parts of society! Please show your support and share, it will be much appreciated!

Thank you so much for your time! We will be sure to keep you all updated in time to come.
