This is a formal call for Target to cease selling children’s tablet cases – both online and in stores – that are made with toxins that warrant a Proposition 65 warning, such as the carcinogen DEHP.

Target sells children's tablet cases that come with a Proposition 65 warning that reads: "This product can expose you to chemicals including DEHP, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm."

I soon discovered most of Target's tablet cases listed online featured the same DEHP warning. It was then I realized Target must not care about the health and safety of its shoppers – especially its littlest shoppers.

It is appalling and unethical that a company would make a product specifically designed for kids, then market it to parents and families knowing the product contains toxic ingredients such as carcinogens or hormone disruptors. This is unacceptable, Target.

Will you call on Target to remove any children's tablet cases made with toxic ingredients such as DEHP from its shelves, both online and in stores?

Will you call on Target to recall any children's products made with carcinogens and hormone disruptors that can cause birth defects or hormone disruption?

We deserve better, Target. Our families and children deserve better.
