In the current wave of protests over the killing of George Floyd, law enforcement throughout the country has continued to use brutal tactics against unarmed peaceful protesters.  Many of these acts, such as firing at a citizen on their front porch in Minneapolis, have been caught on camera, but the officers responsible can not be identified.  Target Corporation maintains two forensic labs, one in Minneapolis, that specialize in video enhancement and identification. Target should call for the submission of videos of these incidents and pledge to utilize Target Forensic Services to identify these officers.  Target's long history of partnering with law enforcement, including the Minneapolis PD, could be leveraged to work with the departments to ensure that these officers receive appropriate discipline for their actions. Target could make a significant step toward rebuilding a relationship with the communities they serve through this important work on police reform.
