We often dwell in our own issues. Such as work drama, hair appointments, etc. It’s easy to get lost in our own world and forget about those out there who have it less convenient, less fortunate, and more challenging to do our normal everyday tasks.

Everyday task such as going to the bathroom or walking into your favorite store. Imagine having the world not be inclusive to your needs as simple as knowing which bathroom to go in. It might seem simple to the community of people without disabilities because we can easily just see a sign and walk right in. It’s so easy we don’t really even think about it and that’s a luxury we don’t recognize. So we should put Braille on the bathroom signs so the those with disabilities such as blindness can know which bathroom they can go in.

Even simpler than going to the bathroom, imagine not even being able to go through the doors to get into your favorite place such as a Starbucks or a Target. Curbs and stairs make those who might be with walkers or wheelchairs more challenging to access. A ramp would ease the issues that curbs and stairs come with. They are smoother and easier to guide through. So we should install ramps to make our common commodities easily or at least more conveniently accessible.

We should allow that luxury for all people of any community to be able to access simple necessities. So together let’s sign this petition to destroy the disability construct and have an accessible world to everyone.
