Don't Block the Sex Ed Bill

We are asking the Taoiseach to provide a 'money message' to allow the Objective Sex Education Bill to progress to committee stage.

The Sex Ed Bill is aimed at removing any legal barriers to the delivery of the best possible relationships and sexuality education for our young people. There is a need to address issues such as consent, LGBTQ+ relationships and sexuality, crisis pregnancy and contraception in a factual and impartial way in our schools.

The Ceann Comhairle has asked the government to give an indication of its view on the money message by 3 July. We ask that the Taoiseach immediately acts so this crucial Bill will progress.
