We want to lower the legal drinking age from 21 to 18 for an assortment of reasons. At 18 years of age, one is considered an adult. Shouldn't an adult who is able to enlist, buy property, and smoke cigarettes be able to make the decision on whether or not they consume alcohol. Around the globe, the United States is in the small minority of countries who don't permit consumption of alcohol until the age of 21. While this law has been in place, binge drinking has nearly tripled and early college students are learning the negative effects of binge drinking first hand. With the drinking age lowered, this problem can be reduced. But I need your help!
