Recently students have not been able to have equal access to study rooms due to the new “first come first serve rule.” Anyone is able to use the rooms with no time limit, preventing others to use the study rooms for academic purposes. Prior to this rule, TAMIU students were able to get equal access by reserving with school identification card and given a two hour limit use on the rooms. If we could get more signatures, we can bring back the way study rooms would operate at our university. If reserving is made in advance up to the hour prior to desire start time, the majority of students should have the opportunity to use the study room.
