Recently we have not been allowed to eat on the floors at our college leaving only the canteen which holds about 50-70 people or to go outside with little outdoor space to sit down and eat. There are over 500 students in my college, how are we all expected to eat in the canteen where there is little space especially when it’s winter and it’s raining. Also with covid still being prevalent and being confined to the little space we have, we are undoubtedly spreading the virus. I believe a change needs to be made, to let us eat on the floor or more space needs to be created for us to eat. If we can’t eat in the canteen we are expected to eat in the stairwells which people need to go up and down. We are not even allowed to drink other than water in the upper areas. There is not enough space to eat so we need to change this immediately. People with health conditions who may need to eat in the corridor should be able to eat without being told off for eating.
