Tamar Valley Dairy: please make kids greek yoghurt in family size tubs!
Why this petition matters

I am the mother of a toddler who is a fussy eater and is obsessed with the Tamar Valley Dairy kids greek yoghurt pouches. We go through 2+ yoghurt pouches a day (I know, it’s excessive but it is hard to get him to eat much else).
When I started purchasing the Tamar Valley Dairy kids yoghurt pouches for my son from Coles in December 2021, each pouch cost $1.50. Now they are charging $1.90 per pouch. Woolworths is charging $2.20 per pouch as of this week! No doubt, Coles will follow with another price increase.
Apart from the outrageous cost, I am very concerned about the environmental impact of these yoghurt pouches.
If your child has 1 yoghurt pouch a day:
- you spend $693.50 per year on yoghurt pouches if you shop at Coles or $803 if you shop at Woolies ($547.50/year if you manage to get them on sale at $1.50 each).
- you send 365 plastic yoghurt pouches to landfill every year if you do not utilise the red cycle program. Let’s be honest, it’s probably more than that! And while the pouches can be recycled through the red cycle program, it can be hard for busy parents to think about this & do it!
Despite all of the above being cause for concern, the Tamar Valley Dairy kids greek yoghurt pouches are probably the best kids yoghurt on the market when you consider the low sugar content.
I ask that Tamar Valley Dairy please also be concerned by the above & respond to the call by making their tasty & nutritious kids greek yoghurt in family size tubs. I promise to remain a loyal customer for years to come if they do!
Please sign & share this petition with all of your parent friends so we can make a much needed change!
