I’m signing because the name Sir Francis Drake is a disgusting reminder of the most horrific times of American history. Slave traders deserve zero recognition for being murderers and rapists

We live in a world that needs to account for the awful actions of figureheads past. Racists need their names removed from buildings and their statues taken down and but into museums so we can remember the bigotry of our past and teach our youth to be better because we can grow and be better as we grow as a nation.
