Why this petition matters

Let's make a difference! It begins with animal lovers like you!

Animal cruelty, also known as animal maltreatment, is the act of inflicting physical pain, suffering, or death on a domesticated animal beyond what is required for appropriate discipline. It can include severe neglect (withholding food and water) to the point where the animal suffers, dies, or is in imminent risk of dying.

The horrific number of animal cruelty instances recorded each day is only the tip of the iceberg; the vast majority of cases go unreported. Animal cruelty instances, unlike violent crimes against people, are not recorded by state or federal agencies, making it difficult to estimate how often they are. However, we can strive to understand and avoid incidents of abuse using the information that is accessible.

Dogs, cats, horses, and livestock are the most frequently abused animals. Animal mistreatment is rampant in the industrial farming business, according to undercover investigations. Only the most shocking examples are documented, and few are ever prosecuted, because of the inadequate safeguards granted to animals under state cruelty statutes.

Because animals don't have a voice, but they rely on us for so much, this advocacy is for them. This involves ensuring their safety. Spaying or neutering your pets is one method you can help reduce the number of animals without a comfortable home. This will aid in the reduction of homeless pets and animals in shelters, resulting in fewer animals being killed each year. Your pet will also benefit from spaying or neutering in terms of health and behavior. Countless additional animals continue to suffer for every animal saved. You can help animals never longer suffer in puppy mills, factory farms, testing labs, and other tragic situations by standing up for them. Begin saving lives right now!
