Teachers give their all every day in the classroom.  Not only do they give up their time, emotional capacity, family time, they also often have to buy supplies and books out of their own pockets.

It is time South African retailers provide a lending hand. Why can retailers not offer teacher specials to lessen the burden? We may REAL discounts!  This is a small way to help the educational process and help teachers to help learners. 

Over my 10 years of teaching, I have spent so much of my own money on paper, stationery, extra resources, textbooks so I can deliver effectively to my learners.  In America, you often see so many discounts and special offers for teachers including clothes, shoes.  You may argue they have the volume, but with 26 000 schools in SA don't we as well? 

Come on retailers of South Africa, show up for education!
