The environment is an important part of our well-being and that's why it should be protected. Most of us are probably familiar with the phrase "We only have one Earth," which is indeed true. There's no other than the earth itself who could provide the human needs for us to survive in everyday lives. The truth is, the earth has plenty of renewable and nonrenewable resources. However, because of human activities and other factors, it then poses a massive threat to the earth's natural resources. And the consequences are now evident in our environments such as pollution, extreme weather, loss of species, heavy rains, destruction of the ecosystem, and more. If it will continue like this. It's possible that also the natural resources that we have will deplete and becomes limited, although it may renew on its own it would take a lot of time. As we can see, if we do not take action and do anything about this, it might bring a more disastrous effect on our environment and negatively affect us. 

As a youth in this generation, I am encouraging everyone to take concrete steps towards more sustainable practices. There are different ways that we can do in contributing to the conservation and sustainability of our environment. We can't deny that we, humans, are the ones causing damage to the environment, on the contrary, humans are also the ones who can replenish it. Let's rebuild our biodiversity by following a more sustainable living like recycling, gardening, planting trees, conserving water and electricity, proper waste segregation and most especially knowing how much we're consuming. As you would notice, these are just very simple activities that we can start doing at home. The great thing is that we can be the primary ones to take concrete steps in protecting nature. It may start with one person, however, if it is done by many people, it can bring a substantial change in the environment. This action can definitely make a way for more major progress for us to deeply connect with the earth. 

Now is the time for us to give back what's taken away from our mother nature and practice sustainable living. Be mindful of what's happening in our environment, and be a capable leader and responsible individual in managing our earth's natural resources. As we take part in the conservation of a good and peaceful environment we can maintain a positive, safe, healthy, and functional ecosystem for everyone in the present and as well as ensure the future of the next generation. We can make the required changes to protect our planet.
