As a game with very many supporters, and fans, NBA2k has become a highly successful franchise. While there are many things that these people have done right over years of development and management, there is one thing in particular that a lot of people have been asking for. The Question continues to surface, asking “Why does 2k Shut their servers down every two years?” The argument can be made that it could be because of money, or simply to speed up the production of future products. Which is not a bad answer specifically. But as you look over to competitors, or different franchises you will see that multiple of these games still have their servers from previous games up and running, although it isn’t much of a comparison when starting an argument, it is important to note that these games, such as; Madden, Call Of Duty, GTA all have comparable fan bases to that of 2k. And continue to thrive off despite still keeping in mind, the people who love to play the older games that they’ve developed. 

Games such as NBA2k16 and 17 both have wildly huge fan bases. Bringing them back will help satisfy many customers, and still help bring in money. With the constantly growing fanbase the future production of 2k will still steadily grow!!  This move will also help those who’ve already spent money and time on the game, feel as though they have not wasted their time or money with the expectation of being able to play for as long as they’d like to.
