Carl Schurz Park has always been a source of local beauty and escape for those living on the Upper East Side, including me.

For the past few years, Mayor de Blasio and Mayor Adams have "protected" Gracie Mansion by placing police barricades all over the park, even though there is already a high wall and police presence around the mansion. They were taken down for a short time, then needlessly reinstated in the Adams administration. These police barricades block the 88th St. entrance and split the park in half. They inhibit movement throughout the park and detract from its beauty.

Please help pressure the city to take down these barricades by signing this online petition.
