For years I have watched students and families leave Citronelle for the independent school systems and private school systems. We have so much talent at other schools. Parents get fed up with our school system and leave. Year after year.  Many remain residents of Citronelle but choose to leave for a better school system.  We even have teachers that teach here in Citronelle but refuse to send their children to school here past the elementary stages. For years some leaders of our community have tried to do so but no real effort was made by actual city leaders. It CAN be done in Citronelle, it may take some legislation on a state level, but most importantly it needs community support. It needs to happen. And soon. Sign this petition and send a message to City leaders that this is what we as a community want and need to happen for Citronelle!
