Black Olive Brigade started this petition to Taco John's

About a month ago, I bit into my usually amazing Super Burrito from the Midwest treasure Taco John's and to my immense disappointment discovered that there were no black olives -one of the fundamental ingredients that encourages one to order a Super Burrito over of one of the other burrito options. My partner had ordered the Super Potato Olès. They were also olive-less. It was a sad night in our household but we chalked it up to an understandable mistake and we persevered. A few days ago, we ordered the same things and to our horror, we found ourselves missing our black olives *yet again*! How could this be? We grew up eating The Great Master John's tacos and other tex mex branded specialties and had never been left hanging like this before. Had they forgotten a key ingredient again? I scrambled to check the website and discovered a truth much more horrifying than that: We had been forsaken. Super burritos? No black olives. Super Potato Olès? No black olives. Loaded nachos, taco salads, extra add on options? No. Black. Olives. They had been wiped from the menu. It was a #blackolivebetrayal.

Two things really help set Taco John's apart from the rest of the fast food tex mex options in the midwest: Potato Olès and the inclusion of black olives. Nowhere else has them. But eliminating them from the menu drops them down to only one thing. And now we are left with quite the conundrum. Do we order Olès and get tacos somewhere else? Do we hand over a pile of olives with our change so that they may be properly mixed into the menu items that are supposed to have them? Do we just move on with our lives and if we are really that bothered, just add some olives at home? Let's discuss: Trips to two different restaurants really isn't feasible and Olès really aren't a meal by themselves. Taco John's doesn't want my pocket olives, they make my pants soggy, and girl pockets can't really hold that many olives. Why would I ever handle this like a normal person and move on especially when adding olives at home would mean they aren't mixed right and the taste and texture would still be Wrong? Also, I'm basically fighting for tradition here. You're welcome.

Please join me in asking Taco John's to right their wrongs and bring black olives back. If we can't trust them with olives, can we really trust them at all?

I encourage you to also share your stories on social media under the hashtag #blackolivebetrayal because a Super Burrito isn't very super without the black olives.
