Young people living in rural parts of the Hawkesbury have little to no access to public transport, and getting a drivers license as soon as possible is a priority if not essential. 

This takes the pressure of family and friends to drop and pick up whilst trying to earn and income and for fill their other obligations them selves.

Covid has been hard enough on families to earn enough to support their children, without then having to reduce their hours again to help keep their young adults continuing tertiary education or employment.

Right now, there are no bookings for provisional license or learners permit tests available locally, and no hubs or clinics running to Alleviate the back log after covid lock downs, 

Parents are searching as far away as Tamworth & across to mudgee to try and get a spot for their kids to go for their license.

‼️ The Hawkesbury deserves better than this.‼️

We want more local appointments available so young people can get their licenses when they’re ready – and not have to wait an additional 3 - 6 months. 

this is a state wide issue…and whilst We are located in the Hawkesbury….this needs to be addressed state wide….NOW‼️
