It is my senior year and I understand that times are hard. I also understand there must be a limit to who is allowed into the gym for basketball games. However the school telling us that we can only have certain people, is causing my senior year to be absolutely miserable. All of my siblings are grown and work, my mom and stepdad both have jobs. Nobody (that the school allows) can come to my games 90% of the time. All that I’m asking is for some sort of ticket system allowing us the freedom to choose who our two fans are. Several other schools in the tristate allow their athletes 2 tickets. They do not tell them who the tickets can go to. It’s my senior year and most nights I cheer to a crowd that has nobody in it for me because the school will not allow them in. They took up a list for who we wanted at our games and then edited the people off who weren’t immediate family. Having only 2 people in the stands isn’t ideal, but it makes sense. It doesn’t make sense to have 0 people in the stands because the school won’t allow them in. The person who drives me to my games, and drops me off, cannot come in to watch me because they aren’t blood. And that’s the schools call? I spend more time with people who are not blood then I do with people who are.
