Let Palestinian students into Norway!

Students from Palestine have had the opportunity to study in Norway for many years under a successful exchange scheme. This year, they have had their Norwegian visas refused on grounds that they have 'insufficient ties to their homeland'. This is prejudiced, and unjust. Palestinian students are strongly attached to their homeland, and if they want to study abroad it is to develop a wider culture and skills which they can use at home. They have as much to offer Europe as Europe has to give them; and they have been participating in joint learning schemes in Palestine with Norwegian teachers. There is no reason why the exchange of ideas should stop at the point of allowing a handful of Palestinian students (who still need to go home to finish their degrees) to enter Norway and spend a few months at Stavanger.
We ask you to act speedily with justice and humanity, overrule this unfair decision and allow the students to enter Norway.
