As we prepare for the upcoming school year, it is important to note that since State of Emergency orders have been lifted and there are no longer mask mandates in place for children within the schools.  The choice has been left to each individual school district to make this decision at a local level. While our Superintendent and Board Of Education is working hard to determine health protocols as it relates to the reopening guidelines for the 2021/2022 school year in the Shoreham/Wading River School District, this decision making process should include the parents. 

In an effort to help stream line community feedback, we have started this petition to gather information to show how many parents are in FAVOR of Parental Choice when it comes to the use of masks within the school. 

If you would prefer that masks not be mandated by the school district and left to each parents discretion, please include your information within this petition. 

We would like to provide this information by the next Public BOE meeting which is on 8/17/21. Please complete and share with other community members at your earliest convenience.
