1.    Clydach and Pontarddulais Youth Clubs were awarded 12 months of funding by the City and County of Swansea.  This funding is due to end on 22nd December 2017.

2.    141 young people have attended both clubs since January 2017.

3.    A Lottery grant application to fund the youth clubs for 4 years has been submitted but the outcome of this application will not be known until March 2018.

4.    To fund this 3 month gap between January to March 2018 will require just £3,600 to cover Youth Workers and venue hire, but Swansea Council has declined this funding request.

5.    If Swansea Council does not support the clubs in providing 3 months of bridging funding, both clubs will close at Christmas.

6.    We call on Councillors and Cabinet at the City and County of Swansea to support young people in our area by providing £3,600 to fund the youth clubs.
